Any truth in the rumours Fabinho is signing for Athletico Madrid in January or is it just more tabloid click-bait?

Fabinho is in a slightly odd situation as he has moved from being a RB to being a DM player - and clubs were keen as a RB. However, Fabinho has been of long term interest to Barcelona who would have liked to have taken him at some point in 2016 but that interest had drifted and they have their eyes on someone else now. Monaco previously made it clear they were open to a sale but interested clubs, including Arsenal, had baulked at the asking price - set high as part payment will be due to Fluminense and Paulinia - although Chelsea were told initially by Vasilyev that Monaco want to keep Fabinho. However, this may not deter Manchester United turning their interest in to a firm bid - but the player has suggested it would be Manchester City that he would prefer if he was to move to England. Atletico Madrid maintain an interest and they could well agree to take the player, as they are doing with one or two others with a view to registering them in January. They know that it is far harder to buy in January so they will look to summer agreements and this is one they are very keen on. PSG provide another option but he would not be guaranteed a starting role.}

Seems imminent that Juventus will soon be getting a shed load of cash for Pogba.
Anyone have an idea who they intend to spend it on?
Also guessing that, if PP going to Manchester, lazy speculation that Msta/Depay will be part of the deal?!

Sorry if this should go on the MU page but notice that you've suggested MU reevaluating their targets for positions to be filled: guessing this is primarily a defensive midfielder? If so, any credence to the rumours that Matic is off the table now given Lukaku bid - and are they still looking at Fabinho/ Dier (or other DMs) for the role?
Any input very much appreciated though not fair of us to keep demanding your precious time so no worries if you're busy.

Hi there any Eds who might have any opinion or knowledge in this:
Do you feel that, with the takeover and intent to sign big names, AC Milan will be genuine challengers to Juvenyus for title this year? Is there manager any good?!

{Ed001's Note - bit early to tell. They have bought well so far, but Donnarumma could leave, which would upset things a lot there. It is unlikely anyone can truly challenge Juve though to be honest. Next season at least.}
