Just wanted to ask eds.

This messi saga, why won't barcelona sell a 33 year old player who can get them 100 plus million but rather have him stay a year and leave for free? This is like beyond bad business.

Is the board this inept? I mean they are making the arsenal board of morons look like einsteins.

I can imagine but it makes no sense. I would be taking the money and thanking him for his service. Just seems like such an ill advised ego trip move.

Ed do you believe the most likely scenario is Messi stays with the threat he leaves for free at the end of the season, presdential elections at Barcelona are due in February or March I think? Bartomeu loses the election and Messi then signs a new contract for another year or two before heading to the MLS / Newell's / Boca?
