Hey Ed002 any truth there was recently an approach by an English side for J. Felix?

{Ed002's Note - There was an approach via a third party in January but clubs do not simply make wild offers on players without discussion first. It is almost unique to Spain but third parties who may not have had any contact with either club before will go to the player's club and say "I can broker a deal" for €xM and demand a fee to do it and then he can go to the potential buyers and say I can get you the player for €xM and demand a fee from the cut due to the agent - who would then need to do all of the leg work.}

Thanks again Ed. That’s quite an interesting read, I would have assumed before that the so called super agents or indeed just regular agents would be the ones brokering “theoretical” deals. What is the motivation of these third parties Ed? are they simply looking to make money from the deduction of the agents fee in the form of some kind of finders fee or do they have some kind of other interest in seeing the player move to the buying club?

{Ed002's Note - They are simply chances. Manchester United were taken for a ride over a Portuguese or Spanish player a few years ago. I don't remember who it was.}

Yes cynicism makes more sense. United seem to get caught up quite about in these situations I remember Pogba and before him Rojo off the top of my head.

Ander Herrera deal wasn’t it?

{Ed002's Note - It was not a player who signed that I was thinking of.}

Thinking of Nico Gaiatan, ed?

{Ed002's Note - I remembered - Murillo.}
