Hi Ed001/ Ed002

Just wondering could you explain the "tough" situation that AC Milan are currently in regarding their ownership and the FFP?

How could they overcome this?

And thoughts on the appeal they planning to launch regarding being banned in Europe?

{Ed002's Note - It is very simple really. Milan spent more on transfers than they earned and they failed to recover the situation in the FY. They had further issues with respect to wages which they did address. They will be sold again in the not too distant future.}

Hi Ed

Do you know of any interest in Real Madrid Fabio Coentrao? I believe he wants a move back to Portugal, is that true? If not do you know who may be interested buying him this summer

{Ed002's Note - There is no interest in him. There was discussion with a club last summer but they would have needed to release him from his contract to make anything happen.}

1.) 10 Apr 2017 11:06:00
Thanks Eds

Hi Eds

Do you have any possible information regarding Fernando Torres transfer situation?

I've read a few reports that Simeone would like to fully sign him this summer while the usual stuff like a move to the MLS (inparticularly NYCFC to join his close friend David Villa) or could a move to China be another possibility, what do you think will mostly happen?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any "plans" per se but Milan won't want him back and I very much doubt that Atletico will want to keep him as they are looking elsewhere at forwards. Among several offers he has already had to think about is one from Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao which is seen to be very lucrative. However, the time to take that up has passed and I don't know if it is on the table anymore. I could only speculate but I can say one MLS side has some high profile representatives in Europe looking for a striker, but I suspect the MIddle East might to be a viable option.}

Thanks Ed002

Hi Ed, I asked a year ago about Genoa keeper Mattia Perin, is the same teams still interested in him and is the any updates regarding him? I personally feels he deserved to be at a better club than Genoa

{Ed002's Note - He wants Inter but may have to settle for Napoli.}

1.) 04 Apr 2017 16:34:09
I guess that depends on Handanovic if he leaves. Does that mean Pepe Reina will be leaving in the summer aswell?

{Ed002's Note - Perin has made no secret over the years that it is Inter where he wants to be. He has missed much of last season and this with injury. Napoli need to look to the future and if Perin is fit in the summer they will offer him an option to move. Reina is getting toward the end of his career. Handanovic is likely to move on this summer.}

2.) 04 Apr 2017 18:10:43
Much appreciated as always Ed002 thanks 👍

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome Shane. These are good and sensible questions.}

3.) 05 Apr 2017 04:28:01
Other than Man Utd who else are interested in Handanovic ed2?

{Ed002's Note - Roma's interest could be rekindled. Real Madrid have looked at him but want someone else. PSG has made an approach to Inter.}

4.) 06 Apr 2017 17:00:47
Thanks ed2.
PSG wanting to sign him is interesting for me. They signed Trapp last summer, have a well thought of Areola and if I'm not mistaken Sirigu on their books so who among them may leave cause surely they won't be able to keep all them happy.

{Ed002's Note - Sirigu will go - but as I said, I would not expect Perin to join PSG.}

Hi Eds

Just wondering do you have any information regarding Milan keeper Donnamruma

Wanted to ask has their been a delay in his contract negotiations due to the potential new owners Milan may be getting soon

Also is their a possibility of Donnamruma leaving in the near future if say he fails to agree personal terms with Milan and which teams would be interested in him

{Ed002's Note - Ignore the contract. AC Milan has rebuffed an approach from Chelsea that would have left Donnarumma in Milan for at least two years before a move to London. They have no intention of selling at this time but know that both Chelsea and Barcelona are very keen. They are also aware that Real Madrid and Juventus have both made an enquiry with his agent - but Real Madrid have very clear alternate targets and Juventus has set their sites on another young goalkeeper. Two years ago when Chelsea first enquired about him as a 16 year old, they were quoted a truly astonishing asking price. An earlier approach from Ajax was also rebuffed.}

1.) 14 Mar 2017 10:49:14
Thanks Ed002

Could you please tell me who the keeper Juventus are interested in long term to replace Buffon

Also does Nicola Leali have a long term future their?

{Ed002's Note - Alex Meret. Juventus are not looking to sell Nicola Leali.}

2.) 14 Mar 2017 10:57:22
Much Appreciated Ed002

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Just wondering with Francesco Totti playing career coming towards the end, do you have any idea will he either carry on playing past this season or if he retires this summer will he likely go into a coaching/backroom staff role at Roma

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what Francesco Totti will do when he eventually stops playing.}

1.) 06 Mar 2017 12:52:18
No worries thanks Ed002, I think he deserves some sort recognision if that's either a job at the club or maybe naming a stand after him at the new Roma stadium when they eventually build it

16 May 2016 09:06:18
Is their any interest in Mattia Perin the Genoa keeper, if so do you see him moving in the summer?

{Ed002's Note - (a) Yes, Inter will look to Perrin if Handanovic leaves. (b) Perhaps.}

1.) 16 May 2016 09:41:22
Could Roma be looking at him aswell?

{Ed002's Note - Roma's interest could be rekindled but he is not their first choice.}

2.) 20 May 2016 19:32:50
Who's interested in handanovic if you don't mind me asking ed002? Thanks =]

{Ed002's Note - Handanovic could well end up in the EPL one day - but he is looking for European football - preferably the Champions League. Roma's interest could be rekindled. Real Madrid have looked at him. PSG has made an approach to Inter. Inter would like to keep him but know if the right offer comes in they will have to accept it.}

Just wondering Ed's and others, what's your view on Boca Jonathan Calleri, is he the legit deal? Heard good reviews about him and reports saying Inter have shown strong interest in him, I have seen some clips on him but only got a vague idea about him.

{Ed002's Note - Much is expected with Palermo, Chelsea, Inter, Arsenal, Valencia, Spirs, Stoke, Roma and Villarreal all known to have shown interest in Boca's Jonathan Calleri - but it is Chelsea and Inter who have discussed a possible move with Boca. Boca were looking to keep him until the summer and were looking for a premium for a winter sale - and that put Inter on a difficult footing and they started to look for an initial loan or assistance from a third party. Chelsea did not really want to take the player until the summer and they would be looking to send him straight out on loan if a January move was pushed. And that probably won't suit the player. My expectation was that he would therefore stay at Boca unti the summer and then complete a move to Chelsea, assuming the new manager was keen. However, this has rather irked Inter who, strapped for cash, now want to complete the transfer in the coming week or two, subject to (a) them having managed to raise the funding necessary to make the deal happen (perhaps with third party assistance) as they emain short, (b) providing the player with assurances over gam time, and (c) the player accepting those assurances and agreeing the move.}

Know this isn't the appropriate page but is that team perhaps Manchester United? As a United fan would love to see him at the club.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Best striker in the 90s and early 00s, if it wasn't for injuries and weight issues towards the end of his career, he be easily a top 10 all time player

Madrid is one of those teams where you can't make everyone happy, too much unrealistic expectations, they should concentrate on enjoying this moment since their keys players are getting older now and probably got another 2-3 years left in them

{Ed002's Note - You are right in that they know they will have some major rebuilding of the team in the coming years.}

A little bit harsh considering that potentially they could go back to back on Champions League, a first in a very long time

But that's Real Madrid for you

{Ed001's Note - they are terrible to watch though shane. That is not how Real Madrid want their team to play, wholly reliant on one player pulling them out of the mess each week.}

Thanks for the update Ed002.

Hope you don't mind me asking about the part you mentioned that "given that there is aplan from Real Madrid to utilise him elsewhere in a transaction" Are you willing to give the details on that part? No worries if not. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained about Real Madrid’s plans.}

Is Milan financial situation as serious as the media are making it out at the moment? That the owner has until next October to pay the outstanding sum?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what the media are saying, sorry. The loan which funded Yonghong's purchase will have payment milestones and he is looking to refinace and bring investors in.}

{Ed002's Note - He is an option they are interested in but there is no decision at this time.}

Think he around 32/33 years old, can't see anyone else who could take Totti mantle

{Ed002's Note - Totti has been offered a directorship at Roma and has already spoken with Monchi.}
