Hi Ed, hope your well wherever you are, any interest from England in Roma's Allison and Inter's Skrniar? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool may well look to Alisson in the Summer but whether or not he is available depends on what happens elsewhere. Another side have previously been keen and could look to him again. Milan Skriniar is on the lengthy list of CBs Manchester City has but a move there is unlikely. Others are interested as well.}

Thank you Ed.

Hi Ed, hope you are well and Sparky isn't going insane reading Twitter posts all day.
Have a quick question for you if you don't mind;

Also about a month ago I read that MU and Juve had an interest in Toni Kroos so I was wondering if this was still the case or if anything had changed with that?
Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any change.}

Hi ed, is it likely Monchi will follow Emery to PSG?

{Ed001's Note - that is what PSG would like to happen.}

1.) 29 Jun 2016 11:40:24
Thanks Ed, they make a good team so shouldn't be a surprise I guess. Where next for Blanc or too early to say?

{Ed001's Note - too early for me to say anyway.}

09 Jun 2016 08:52:19
Hi Ed, how are you? Sorry if this isn't the right page for this but where is Quiqe Sanches Flores potentially going for his next club?

{Ed002's Note - Quique Sanchez Flores will probably take the Sevilla coaching role that has already been turned down by one ex Premier League manager.}

1.) 09 Jun 2016 16:08:46
Has he not taken the espanyol job?

{Ed002's Note - I meant Espanyol. Sorry.}

2.) 09 Jun 2016 18:23:59
Cheers Ed.

Hi Ed, is there any interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke?

{Ed002's Note - Yes. In January 2014 Barcelona held talks with Atletico Madrid about Koke and Chelsea also discussed Koke in terms of being part of a possible part exchange deal with a Chelsea player. Atletico wanted to keep him and there were complxities regarding his full ownership so Barcelona looked to Rakitic instead. After declaring he would not move in the summer of 2014, interest was deferred until last summer. Chelsea spoke again with Atletico and made clear they remain interested but right now they don't see him as a viable option for this summer and are looking elsewhere as the shuffle the midfield around. However, they do remain in close contact with Atletico over another player a third party is negotiating for on their behalf. Manchester City, or rather the new manager, sees Koke as a possible long-term replacement for Yaya Toure but are again not convinced a move this summer will be viablen. Bayern Munich may become interested if he comes up for sale.}

1.) 09 Apr 2016 11:02:22
Thanks once again Ed. Any other Atletico players on the move this summer? I know Chelsea have interest in Griezmann. Is Diego Simeone on the move potentially?

{Ed002's Note - Diego Simeone isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I wandered around the new stadium with him a while back and he wants to be head coach when they move there in 18 months. Players will come and go. There will be others coming and going and I suspect Torres' loan will not be made permanent. Griezmann as you say is subject of ongoing transfer discussions. Niguez is a player who doesn't want to leave and they don't wish to sell but there is interest from a number of sides and, even though they cannot agree a contract extension, Atletico have turned down a recent offer for him out of hand.}

2.) 09 Apr 2016 11:33:52
Oh wow I bet that was a nice experience Ed having the chance to discuss things and walk around there with him. It's nice to see a manager happy and wanting to build a legacy somewhere. What's he like as a person Ed, I know he has a reputation from his playing days, I'm guessing he's a good guy though? The new stadium far from the current one?

{Ed002's Note - He is just another football coach. My Spanish is poor like his English so someone helped out.}

3.) 09 Apr 2016 11:51:28
Very interesting nonetheless I'm sure. Safe flying back to the states anyway Ed and thanks for the info.

{Ed002's Note - I am looking to skip the planned trip, but thanks.}

Hi Ed. Ancelotti indicating he wants to stay in club management, any idea where is interesting him or who would like to take him? Thanks as always.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing will happen before the summer. He would be happy to return to England but there is no vancancy at the club which attracts him. The side who are in a bit of turmoil with a sale going on is Milan - they may provide a good option.}

1.) 04 Dec 2017 15:43:37
Thank you Ed.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Hi Ed, with the window due to close any likelihood United have or will go back for Ivan Perisic or is that dead now?

{Ed002's Note - probably not.}

1.) 31 Aug 2017 07:42:43
Hi Ed02,
sorry if this reads stupid.
But a little confused with your answer.
Do you mean United probably won't go back for Perisic or do you mean that the interest is probably not dead just yet?

{Ed002's Note - I would forget Perisic for no.}

2.) 31 Aug 2017 09:29:26
Thanks for the reply Ed2 :)
Sad that we are not after him now. Would really have liked another winger/ attacker joining.

08 Jul 2017 13:37:05
Hi Ed, is there anything new to report on Ivan Perisic to MU? His price was due to go up July 1st I believe. Thanks as always.

{Ed002's Note - Not really, even with Darmian as part of the deal the amount of cash involved falls short.}

1.) 08 Jul 2017 14:03:07
Thanks Ed, do you believe they will continue to negotiate for the player now?

{Ed002's Note - It is not so much a matter of negotiation, it is a case of simply making an offer that is acceptable. Once that has happened they can negotiate the terms (when monies will be paid etc.). There is no doubt that Mourinho would like to see this go through as an alternative to Antoine Griezmann. If they can get this out of the way and Lukaku signed off then they can sit back and re-evaluate their list of targets for the positions that still need filling.}

2.) 08 Jul 2017 14:55:16
Interesting, thanks for the info Ed, appreciated.

3.) 09 Jul 2017 06:38:47
Thanks for info as always Ed - hope you're able to sip some Pimms while watching Wimbledon, daintily nibbling on strawberries and cream.

Sorry if this should go on the MU page but notice that you've suggested MU reevaluating their targets for positions to be filled: guessing this is primarily a defensive midfielder? If so, any credence to the rumours that Matic is off the table now given Lukaku bid - and are they still looking at Fabinho/ Dier (or other DMs) for the role?

Any input very much appreciated though not fair of us to keep demanding your precious time so no worries if you're busy.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Matic.}

4.) 09 Jul 2017 12:51:50
Thanks Ed, that's interesting g to know and certainly contradicts the mass media rumours!

11 Jun 2016 08:51:22
Hi Ed, hope your well this weekend and not travelling too much? I read at the beginning of May that Andre Gomes of Valencia and Juventus may strike a deal to take him to Turin, is that deal getting done or is the door now ajar for other clubs to rekindle or show interest in a deal?

1.) 13 Jun 2016 06:39:45
I read something the other day about this it said his release/buyout (I really don't understand the clauses) was at €52m but somehow it's now at €40m something to do with Jorge Mendes and Peter Lim.

Probably rubbish not that I understand it anyway but I hope we pay €40m for him if it's true

{Ed002's Note - Valencia's Andre Gomes was watched last season by representatives of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Milan, Manchester United and by Vicente Fernandez on behalf of Chelsea. However, the asking price was well beyond anything that would make any transfer possible in the summer. This season many clubs, including Chelsea again, have watched the player but it will likely be Manchester United, Napoli, Barcelona and Juventus that fight for his signature in the summer - and I very much doubt Barcelona, Napoli or Juventus will be able to match any financial offer made by the others without a sudden influx of money - but that may be coming. Napoli and Juventus would need the money from a significant sale in order to move for Gomes without it becoming an unnecessary financial burden - but they are both pushing for a deal. Valencia want a Juventus player in exchange and they think that may be the means to make the transfer happen but Juventus will only agree to that if another player stays. The player is open to a move for English wages and if were not for the toxic fans Manchester United would have signed him in January. I expect Manchester City to step back having agreed their first choice in now - and I expect PSG to do the same. Obviously if Valencia hold out for the sort of figure he has in his release clause then he won't be going anywhere - but they won't.}

Hi ed002, hope your well.
I was wondering if there is any Premier League interest in any of Inter Milans players? Regards.

{Ed002's Note - Murillo is of interest to Leicester but at nothing like the asking price.}

Think it's Veratti and Coutinho whom are an Iniesta replacement and unrelated to Neymar.
