As per the Liverpool page, what's happening with ownership of Milan eds please?
And have they indeed taken Milinkovic-Savic on loan?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Milan is currently in the hands of Vulture Capitalists (Elliott Management) who have taken control of the holding company (Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux) as one of the repayments for a loan debt was not made in time. Although they do not have full ownership of the club they do have full control and have committed a fixed figure for investment with a view to put it back on a firm footing and then selling at a profit. They immediately began a cull which saw the Chief Executive Marco Fassone removed, Massimiliano Mirabelli sacked and Leonardo installed as Sporting Director and told Gennaro Gattuso that he would leave after the US tour by which time a legal matter concerning his replacement would be resolved. However, when Leonardo arrived he did not know that Gattuso had been told he would leave and immediately fought to reverse the decision which resulted in a one off payment being made to the replacement who was lined up, and some red faces. Regardless, they need a new Chief Executive to replace Fassone. Ivan Gazidis is top of the list and one who might do a very good job there. He will be attractive given Paul Singer knows IG well, he worked with the MLS for a long time and critically has successful experience in Europe. Against it would be whether or not IG has decided that he has done everything necessary at Arsenal and that it will likely only be a two year deal as the club will undoubtedly be sold - unless a little something else were to happen. Even if he feels he has Arsenal in a good position, he may want to stay at the helm for a while, or perhaps he will want a new challenge? In terms of the something else that could happen, there is a good chance that Alisher Usmanov could be looking for a club to buy in full and whilst Newcastle is available in the Premier League I am not aware of any interest being shown at this time, or any approach to Mike Ashlye. However, it is not out of the question that he could join Gazidis in Milan after spending the past 6 months mulling over the move. There is another high end Italian side that is "sort of" available and that is seen as an option by Usmanov.

I understand that a few weeks ago Milan spoke with Mateja Kezman to see if Lazio might accept of an offer of €25M to loan Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for one year and a fixed price buy out of €50M plus Andrea Bertolacci - this would have stretched Milan and was never going to be acceptable so there were no discussions between the clubs. FFP restricts the amount of money that can be spent up front by Milan. There have been offers for the player from elsewhere including another with a player being offered but unless Real Madrid were to make an over the top offer I don't think he will be moving this summer.}

Super stuff Ed002.
Thank you very much.
Or should I say grazie mille.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Ed002, do you think other clubs will increasingly end up following Milan's new business model?

{Ed002's Note - What get in massive debt, fail to make the payments, have the banks come in and take over? I doubt it.}

Phrased that poorly- was more in terms of getting massive questionable investments from China etc.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what investment you are referring to, sorry.}

Cheers ed.
Very impressed with Pogba, and Morata too actually - he can shift.
That Barca team with a Pogba and say a Zouma or Varane - type centre back added would be better than most international teams.
Nice to see Luis get in front of Evra at the end there, bet he shook his hand after that match !

{Ed001's Note - I am not so sure Morata is all that pacey, he was just up against Mascherano, who lacks pace. Suarez and Evra shook hands before the game mate.}

Possibly, good luck with trying that for 90 x minutes though. Bound to attract bookings as you say.
They could also go long, by pass the press, and then you're left with a 4 on 3.
Even those odds are not favourable.
Or you could fight fire with fire, try to out-score them and hope they have a bad day ? Then you risk a basketball end-to-end. I don't know !

They could have been 3 or 4 up in the first half in truth.
It would be very interesting to see Chelsea come up against them next season, just to see the formations.
Is Pogba on Barca's radar by the way ?

The Juicer

{Ed001's Note - Juve could have scored though and then it would have been a whole different match, as has happened in the past to Barca when teams have pressed them and scored first. If you have a lead to protect, it is much easier to keep going for 90min.

Yes Pogba is of interest.}

Haha, possibly but very small beer for them considering the season they have just had.
Talking of which, and this is a convenient place to ask you ed001, but how would you stop the Barca Trident ?
All three can beat a man with ease, sharp, excellent movement, use the full width of the pitch and are inter-changeable. I could go on.
What would you do with that, a Jose Park The Bus job with a deep back four and a tight line of four in front with a greyhound left up front ??
But there's no way they'd slip and leave a motorway through to goal.

I know Juve had a good go at them, and they looked to be rocking in the second half, but goals win matches and I am glad that it is so.
Great to watch, more enjoyable than tika taka. If Pogba were to sign for them as well, oh dear, the rest of us may as well take up darts.

The Juicer

{Ed001's Note - I would press them, they have to be denied the option to play the ball to the front 3 and put under pressure. If Juve had managed to score early in the game, when Barca were under pressure, and before they picked up bookings, Barca would have been in trouble. It was the bookings that saw them drop off a bit as the half wore on and allowed Barca to take control. You have to get at them, they can't defend. Mascherano is a particularly weak link, he was taken apart by Morata repeatedly and Morata is not a special player in any way.}

Hi Ed002, something has changed since April, as BBC have just announced that Allegri is to leave Juve in Summer?
Heard anything please?

The Juicer

{Ed002's Note - Yes, the decision was made a couple of weeks ago that he would leave.}
