Ed002, pardon my ignorance. I was under the impression that players could only sign contracts for a maximum of 5 or 5,5 years. But now I see Koke has apparently signed an extension that ties him to the club until 2024. So that's a 7 year contract. How is that possible? I'm curious to know.

Can the clubs on European mainland give out contracts of longer duration then? I thought it was the same for everybody. That's interesting.
