ED002 You mentioned in the summer that Kroos would almost certainly be moving on and that City would be the club buying him. What changed? Did ZZ persuade him to stay? Is the deal now completely off or postponed?

{Ed002's Note - PSG interested Real Madrid cut short discussions with interested clubs when it became evident that the replacement they were interested in would not be viable. Real Madrid have a ban to deal with now so I would not expect him to go anywhere.}

Hi Ed,
If you wouldn't mind answering, what is the thing with RM buying players (big players- players for large sum of money) and than trying to move them on in couple of years.
Do they not consider them being standard they are/were looking for even though they paid lots of money for them and are well recognised players?
Is it Perezes politics ( galactico players) or constant change of managers that want different players.
Players I had in mind roben, sneider, di Maria , isoco, kroos, khedeira, James (columbian), benzema.

Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid are looking to constantly improve and see all players as transient - which they are. Managers/coaches at Real Madrid have some input but do not define the transfer policy. Going forward, and assuming CAS do not deal with their appeal before the end of December, I would expect Real Madrid to make changes again in January. If CAS do uphold the ban before the end of December then Real Madrid will look to secure players for when the ban ends. So the turnover is driven by desire rather than policy.}
