Eds,

With Real's transfer ban being effective at the end of January, do they have any hope of successfully appealing? Where does this leave De Gea? One of the Eds intimated that Barça have named a price for Ter Stegen, is it totally out of the question for them to make a move?

Cheers,

{Ed001's Note - there is a Real Madrid site by the way before I start answering. There is little to no chance of a successful appeal, or even them being able to hold back the start of the ban. Though, interestingly, there is a chance of Zinedine Zidane taking legal action due to the fact the ban named his two children as illegally obtained by Madrid, which they clearly were not. Unless Madrid move for de Gea now, which is unlikely, then he will stay put. Barca would need to sell to buy him, but de Gea signed the new contract knowing this ban was coming, so it is likely he was expecting to stay there for a while.}

So does this mean the club will be unable to appeal like barca did in april that year and get the decision only later that year so were able to shop in that summer window?

{Ed001's Note - Barca were able to appeal on the grounds of time, Real Madrid have had time to put plans in place, as have Atletico.}
